Dear CMAians and future CMA students,
I would like to address the news regarding our School’s premises.
We are aware of our landlord OldSchool’s tenancy lease from Singapore Land Authority is due on 30th June 2012 and we are in constant contact with our landlord about any upcoming development regarding the SLA’s extension of OldSchool’s lease.
Since our move into OldSchool premise in February 2009, our students have enjoyed the serenity of this premise. Our students have also benefited from the proximity to our neighboring studios, agencies and galleries; with their collaborative works. Chilling out at this premise has been easy, with a restaurant, pub and cinema in the compound. So, it is with regret that we learned of SLA’s decision not to extend the tenancy lease beyond 30th June 2012. Being creatives, we will not accept the closure of OldSchool soundlessly and I would like to invite you to lend your support to the petition to Save Old School!

In the meantime, as a trusted educational service provider, we are committed to have our classes run as scheduled. We have already made provisions with our educational partners on short-term loan of classrooms should the need arise. We are taking positive steps to look for an alternate campus within the Central Business District area in the event that our petition does not move SLA’s position. At the earliest possible time, we will inform all students on any potential relocation.
Till the final decision regarding this premise is cast, we will habour hope for OldSchool’s existence.
